Digital Field TV Production training involves a total of four classes and each class is three hours iin duration (a total of 12 hours). Classes #1,2, and 3, involve instruction in TV program and editing production. Class #4 involves instruction in the use of the camcorder, tripod, and lighting.Production of a one minute long TV public service announcement (PSA) as well as a written examination at the end of the course is required for certification. Training courses are held on Wednesday evenings and also offered on Saturday mornings.
Studio TV Production training involves a total of seven classes and each class is three hours in duration (a total of 21 hours). Classes #1, 2, 3, & 4 involve instruction in studio and control room equipment, and studio crew roles. Classes #5, 6 & and 7 involve instruction in digital program and editing production. If you have already completed our Field Training course classes 5, 6, and 7 will be waved. A minimum of 9 studio crewmembers are required to sign up for the Studio TV Production training course. A 30-minute TV program and a written examination at the end of the course is required for certification.
